Back to School Bash: Giving Every Student a Strong Start
The Back to School Bash brought families together to celebrate the start of a new school year by providing valuable resources and fun activities for the community. Children received free haircuts, enjoyed complimentary snow cones, and participated in prize giveaways, creating a welcoming and joyful atmosphere.

Stars & Stripes Festival Celebration
The City of Weslaco’s Stars & Stripes Festival brought families, friends, and neighbors together to celebrate Independence Day and the values of unity, freedom, and community. The event provided an opportunity for residents to enjoy an evening of celebration while honoring the spirit that makes Weslaco a vibrant and welcoming city.

Community Health Outreach & Family Wellness
The Community Health Outreach at Cavazos Park brought together local organizations, volunteers, healthcare providers, and families for a day dedicated to wellness, education, and community engagement. Residents had access to free health screenings, family-friendly activities, live entertainment, food, and valuable community resources in a welcoming environment.
The event highlighted the importance of preventive healthcare while strengthening connections between local organizations and the people they serve.
Emergency Preparedness & Community Support
Through local preparedness initiatives, resources such as sandbag distribution were made available to help families and businesses protect their homes and property from severe weather and potential flooding.
In addition to coordinating access to essential supplies, community leaders and volunteers actively assisted residents by delivering sandbags and encouraging everyone to take proactive safety measures.
